One of the most memorable aspects of my wedding was my I Do Crew!
My I Do Crew consisted of a diverse group of women who have been the most influential in my life.
While they are the friends I would invite to my bachelorette party, they mean so much more than that. They are the ones I turn to in both good times and bad. We celebrate together, cry together, and always make time for each other when it matters most. Anyone can join you for a fun night out, but these are the people who will come to your aid when your car breaks down on the way home—your ride or die crew.
What’s even more special is that they genuinely want to help with the details of your wedding. It’s a beautiful gift to give and receive support from each other. They won’t just be guests; they’ll play an integral role in your big day and in the many moments leading up to it.
💕I'll never forget one of the most stressful moments—just three days before the wedding, I realized all of my guest program fans needed to be re-cut. Panic started to set in, but then my cousin, fresh off a 9-hour flight, casually said, "I love cutting and crafting." A quick trip to Walmart later for an extra paper cutter, and we tackled it together. In about four hours, we had it all done—laughing and chatting the whole time. What could’ve been a disaster turned into a fun, bonding moment I’ll never forget.
Here’s how to delegate wedding tasks without the stress:
Start by making a list of all the tasks that need to be done for your wedding. This can include anything from DIY decor projects to coordinating with vendors. Once you have a comprehensive list, categorize tasks into manageable sections:
This will help you understand what you need assistance with and make it easier to assign specific tasks later on.
Got a friend who's got a label maker and isn’t afraid to use it? Let them take charge of the seating chart!
Consider the strengths and interests of your family and friends. Who loves to craft? Who has experience in event planning? Match tasks to individuals based on their skills and willingness to help. This will not only make the process smoother but also more enjoyable for everyone involved.
Even if some friends aren't naturally crafty or detail-oriented, inviting them to be part of the process ensures they feel included. Whether they’re there to share a laugh, offer moral support, or simply keep the wine glasses full 😉—their presence is invaluable. Sometimes, the best contribution is just being there to make the experience more fun and memorable!
Once you’ve delegated tasks, set your I Do Crew up for success by giving them the tools and resources they need to complete their assignments. Whether it’s DIY project materials or important vendor information, making everything easily accessible will keep things running smoothly.

A GIFT JUST FOR YOU
I’ve created a Wedding Delegation Tracker just for you!
While it’s important to have a plan, things don’t always go as expected. Be open to adjustments and trust your family and friends to handle their tasks. If someone comes up with a different way to accomplish something, be willing to embrace their ideas. Flexibility can lead to unexpected and wonderful results!
Acknowledging the efforts of your family and friends is crucial. Simple gestures of gratitude can go a long way. Here are a few ideas:
Planning your wedding should be a joyous occasion, not just a list of tasks to complete. Allow your family and friends to be a part of the journey, sharing in the excitement and fun. Remember to celebrate milestones along the way—whether it’s finishing your DIY invites or finalizing the guest list.
Sharing the planning journey with your loved ones brings more than just help—it’s a chance to bond over shared excitement, laughter, and even the occasional challenge. You’ll create special memories that go far beyond the wedding day itself."
